Sport Truck
The lone truck that entered into a field of 60 vehicles making the 90- mile, foot-to-the-floor dash for the cash between the remote towns of Hiko and Lund, Nevada, ended up the 95-mph-class winner in the Fall ’94 event. The winning ’93 GMC Typhoon was piloted by Kathy Henry and Marty Looney of Green Valley, Nevada. The pair averaged 95.2437 mph during the 90-mile course. The open-road race, formerly organized and hosted by Roger Ward’s Classic Auto Racing Society (CARS), was sanctioned by Silver State Classic Challenge. The next event is scheduled for May 20.
