GMC SONOMA

Previously called the S-15, the Sonoma line will generate a lot of excitement in 1991. At the top of the list will be the new super-quick Syclone, with a turbocharged 4.3-liter V-6 engine, all-wheel drive and four-wheel antilock brakes. Capable of 0-60-mph times of less than five seconds, the Syclone will be the performance king of its class. In addition, the 2WD Sonoma’s standard 2.5-liter inline-four has gained 11 more horsepower (105 hp at 4800 rpm) through improvements to the intake manifold, cylinder head, camshaft profile, air induction system and other areas.
